So, I’ve been going on a song writing binge lately, turning up all kinds of things. It’s all really different and broad, it does not really fit into any given musical category. But, that is the norm for us. We’re planning on having a new set ready to go by summer hopefully! And in the midst of all this musical writering, we’re in the middle of finishing up an EP (which will actually be released and sent out for review) that we started last August, that should be dropping in late April or May. And, furthermore, we’re about to start recording our second Unplugged acoustic EP, which will probably feature 4 songs, one of which I can say is Minute Stretchers, and at this point, I would guess that the other 3 songs will be new ones. We are playing the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle on April 25th as well, we’re looking forward to that one. It seems like the more work we do, the more work there is to be done! I hope it is always this way.

The Cat From Hue

Hello all.

We are currently in the process of Recording Recording Recording.
We’re from an island that needs no boat to sail to, which, in Washington state, is a pretty vague description believe it or not.

Recently we got the honor of being accepted into EMP’s Soundoff!, a competition from bands from all over the Northwest. Out of 130 bands that entered, we got into the top twelve. The competition is a 4 day event, three days of semi-finals and the final, on March 10th. We play on February 20th, and would love to see you all there.

“The Cat From Hue are a clever and instrumentally varied band whose songs coast effortlessly through introspective landscapes of narrative songwriting. With radiant guitars and subtly haunting vocals, this Camano Island, Wash. quintet has created an indie folk sound that is decidedly original”
